One of my husband's all time breakfast favorite is biscuits and gravy, which isn't low carb. I worked on devising a low-carb version. Let's face it; there comes a time when bacon and eggs doesn't thrill any more. This low carb version rubs between 7-10 carbs for an oversized spilt biscuit, two sausage patties and gravy. The different versions of gravy counts for the differing amount of carbs. Compare this to the 40 carbs that the traditonal serving has. A few have more.
Here's the components for the basic recipe when you don't want to make your own gravy.
The biscuit = 2 carbs
Gravy= 5
Sausage=0
The Half & Half =1
I use Half & Half for fluffier biscuits. I substitute half of the water with Half & Half.

Feeling ambitious, then you can make your own milk gravy and cut the carbs down to a slim 2 for gravy. Use Half and Half for milk, add in about a tablespoon of butter. Follow directions on Thick-N-Corn Starchy for desired thickness. Salt and pepper to taste. Old school cook may want to use the same skillet the sausage was fried in for more seasoning.
Cut biscuits in half, butter them, then place one cooked sausage pattie on each half, ladle with gravy , then serve while hot. Enjoy.
