This review is for LC Foods Low-carb brownies. Each serving has one calorie made in its normal fashion in an square or rectangular pan. I made them in a muffin pan making each brownie muffin the equivalent of two servings or two carbs. It made sixteen muffins; instead of the 11-12. It could have been because I had jumbo eggs. The picture above features cake-like brownies, which an extra egg creates.
Summary: This was easier than the previous brownies I made. I liked the texture, which reminded me more of normal brownies. The price at $8.98 was high. The taste was more like chocolate cake, which may have been due to the jumbo eggs. I froze the brownies and portioned them out in lunches, which worked out well. I would give the brownies a B+. No hint that the brownies were low-carb. Best of all, no side effects, unlike the Doctor's brownies, I tested earlier. |
