Do you miss spreading PB on bread, celery or apples? Maybe you’re an adventurous cook and you might melt peanut butter in the microwave to use on chicken or ice cream. I’m taste testing two spreads today. First up is Walden Farms Chocolate Peanut spread.
Walden Farms Chocolate Peanut Spread
Bought at Krogers for 3.49 for 12 oz.
Net Carbs: 0
At room temperature, it was runny and had a slightly chemical taste when eaten alone. After refrigeration, it’s thicker and there’s a strong note of cocoa, but no peanut flavor. It is works on celery, but I’m not sold on it. Wouldn’t buy it again, although Walden Farms as several great zero carb products.

Peter Pan Creamy Peanut Butter
Bought at Meijers on sale for 1.99 for 16.3 oz
Net Carbs: 4
This your traditional peanut butter with the texture and peanut goodness you’d expect. Different varieties of Peanut Pan have more carbs. This product has the same amount of carbs as the pricey low carb natural peanut butter I had been been buying. I also don’t have to mix it up because the peanut and oil don’t separate. It is easier to use in cooking.
A serving is two tablespoons, which satisfies the PB craving. Peter Pan is the winner is this match-up because of taste, texture, and price.
